Homeopathic Gallery

These images represent homeopathic hospitals, colleges, and persons mostly from the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s. A few images, like the Royal London Hospital, are contemporary. Some homeopathic medical schools were associated with universities like the University of Michigan, University of Iowa, and University of Minnesota. Due to pressure from organizations like the American Medical Association, homeopathy fell out of favor in the mid-1900’s. As homeopathy waned, some of its colleges and hospitals became our current-day conventional medical schools and hospitals. Homeopathy enjoyed a renaissance in the late 1900’s along with other forms of holistic medicine. Most images are from postcards. Dates of postmarked cards are noted. CLICK EACH IMAGE TO ENLARGE
